tTA owns a trailer for use on projects and emergency responses.  This trailer is equipped with:

-Ortec Digidart gamma spectroscopy system

 

-LB5100 Series 4, Tennelec, low background smear counter

   Emergency Responce Capabilities

 

 

 

The trailer can be towed to any project/job site and runs on 110 VAC.  Local services needed for the trailer include electricity and P-10 gas.  tTA owns an Ortec Digidart, which is the equivalent to an ISOCS unit.  We consider this unit to be more portable for field applications.  The Digidart is a multi-channel analyzer with a lithium germanium detector.

tTA has the capability to perform rapid emergency response to radiological incidents involving a variety of radionuclides.  This was demonstrated in our first emergency response at a Houston, TX based facility where an Am-241 was damaged causing contamination within a warehouse building.  tTA provided two NRRPT qualified health physics technicians who maintained site control, led a decontamination team to site free release within a few months.  tTA worked closely with the client and state regulators to perform to perform this emergency response activity.  This project was completed with no further incidents of releases to the environment.
